I constantly hear fellow musicians say:
"Good luck getting paid by XYZ streaming service. And if you do it's only pennies!" So they just keep on releasing new music WITHOUT registering their song metadata first or even at all!
"I'm registered with TuneCore, DistroKid, CDBaby so I'm all good with my song metadata."
My thing is: you likely are not — because the PROs and the distributors don't typically register your song metadata in the databases for you.
Casual fans won't buy or stream your music if they cannot FIND IT. When they DO find it and stream it, YOU should get paid every penny you're due to receive.
